Troy Kelly Troy Kelly went to be with his Lord and Savior June 12, 2022. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at 2:00pm at the Fountain of Life Assembly of God in Vernon. Bro. Bradley Long and Bro. Paul Barham to officiate. Burial to follow in the Cooper Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

He was born June 15, 1931 in Detroit, AL to the late Jenny & Ernest Kelly. After his service in the US Army, Troy lived in Green Rock (Colona) IL where he served as Mayor from 1968-1974. He retired from Farmall International Harvester in 1982 and moved to Sulligent where he and Una ran the Sulligent Lake until 1999. Troy loved to fish and hunt and was blessed to have spent so many years doing just that.  A very active member of New Centerpoint FWB Church until moving to Vernon where he attended Fountain of Life Assembly of God.

Troy was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Una Reynolds Kelly, His sister Ole Mae Edwards, his brothers: W. Tommy Kelly & Oliver Kelly.

In 2015, Troy married Jean Merchant and inherited a wonderful family that he loved and enjoyed spending time with. Judy & Johnny Smith, Lisa and Joe Graves, Jerry Glen & Tracy Merchant and a multitude of grands, greats and great, great grands.

Survived By:

Wife: Jean Merchant, Vernon

Children: Letricha Kelly, Knoxville TN; Karan Riffle, Sulligent AL; Kevin (Elizabeth) Kelly, Puyallup WA.

Grandchildren: Brandy Donaldson (Jake), OPP Al, Lenny Hill (Mandy), Knoxville TN; Joshua (Pam) Van Dusseldorp, Blake (Jen) Riffle, Jason (Nikki) all of Salem AL, Karissa, Dalin & Mitchell Kelly, Puyallup WA. & 9 Great Grandchildren

Brothers: Coy Kelly, Hamilton; Roy Kelly; Robert (Virginia) Kelly of Detroit.

Sisters: Ninnie (Tommy) Robertson, Guin and Bobbie (Paul) Catton, Colona IL.
