Troy Brewer Sr., 81, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018. Visitation will be today from 1-3 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel. Seth Hood will be officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Troy attended First Baptist Church of Colbert Heights. He was a member of Local Union 200 Aluminum Workers and also a member of Littleville Masonic Lodge 881. He retired from Reynolds after 35 years of loyal service. He was an avid gardener with a green thumb and noted for his dill pickles. Grandchildren stated he was the best granddaddy ever and that he was kind, generous, patient, and loving.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Addie Brewer; son, Brett Brewer; brother, W.J. Brewer; grandson, Shawn Brewer; and daughter-in-law, Katina Brewer.
Survivors are wife of 62 wonderful years, June Brewer; son, Troy Brewer Jr.; grandchildren, Kristy Barranco (Charles), Brettley Brewer (Shelby), Gage Brewer (Kathryn), and KaLeigh Brewer; great grandchildren, Maddie and Tyson Brewer; and brother, Horace Brewer (Judy).
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Colbert Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
