LEIPER’S FORK/COWAN– The town of Leiper’s Fork and Cowan are located in Nashville’s Big Back Yard.    Nashville’s Big Back Yard is a natural watershed region anchored by 100 miles of the Natchez Trace Parkway and made up of 12 connected communities in Tennessee with populations under 5,000 people, and The Shoals of North Alabama.

This past weekend the Quad Cities Daily were guest of Experiencetn.com  we were honored to help out by covering two fun events in the area one in Cownan, Tn, The Fall Heritage Festival in Cowan and ForkFest in  Leiper’s Fork.  The events were well attended and fun for everyone there.  The Fall Heritage Festival had food, arts and crafts vendors as well as music and fun activities for the kids.  Some of the stores opened and welcomed the festival goers in with great bargains and unique wears.    At Leiper’s Fork the crowd enjoyed some mighty fine food and some very great music celebrating the 100th birthday of Hank Williams.

We with QCDNews enjoyed the food and the stay in Manchester at the Holiday Inn and Suites which is the meeting place for all who attend Bonnaroo  Music and Art Festival held in June each year.  The folks at the Holiday In were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was second to none.   We also enjoyed a great hamburger and fries at the Fox & LOcke on the outside patio where we watched the festival goers as they were enjoying the weather and shops along the Village. We suggest to you  a great place to enjoy the fall colors would be to check out what’s happening and ExperienceTN.com

The Quad Cities Daily want to thank Nashville’s Big Back Yard for their hospitality while we visited their neck of the woods.
