Trina Dawn Jones, 56 of Athens, Alabama, died Wednesday, June 7, 2022 at her residence.
Mrs. Jones was born August 7, 1965 in Morgan County, AL and she was a member of Lindsay Lane Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Walton Sr. High School in Defuniak Springs, FL, she loved animals and she would take in any stray animal. Mrs. Jones had horses, donkeys, dogs and cats, she was so compassionate about animals and she took in two children at different times that did not have a place to live. She took them in just as if they were hers. Alexandra Griffin and Shad McBride called her momma.
Services will be 3pm Saturday at Spry Funeral Home in Athens with Robert Timothy Haney and Andy John King officiating with burial in Center Star Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2pm until 3pm Saturday at Spry Funeral Home.
Survivors: Husband, Michael Jones. Son, Josh Griffin. Daughter, Sydney Griffin. Mother, Mary Haney Sulcer and Bud. Step-Daughters, Wendy Davis and Robin Martin. Step-Son, Tyler Russell. Brother, Tim (Rhonda) Haney. Sister, Penny Haney (Brett) Martin. Grandchildren, Aurora, Kellen, Liam, Trinity and Mikaelynn.
Preceded in death by: Father, Bobby Haney. Grandparents, Ransom & Kathryn Haney and Eliphus & Irene Vickers.
