Travis William Burks age 73 of Michie, TN, was born on September 25, 1949 in Selmer, TN to the late TW Burks and Mildred Marie Baldwin Burks. He passed away on March 2, 2023. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a member of the VFW and the Skyblazers Flying Club of Savannah. He was a great ballroom dancer, could clear a floor, and an avid gardener.
He is survived by two sons, Tegan Wade Burks and wife Sara of Henderson, TN, Joel Brandon Tacker and wife Sonya of Savannah, TN; sister, Brenda Teasdale of Michie, TN; grandchildren: Tate Crouse, Kyile Burks, Anna Crouse, Brandon Chase Tacker and wife Madison, Dustin Creol Tacker; great grandchildren: Onyx Brandon Tacker, Jasper Timothy Tacker, Garnet Zayne Tacker and Malachite Joel Tacker; niece and nephew, Brandi Wilbanks and husband James Dee and Paul Jack Pharr III.
In addition to his parents, Travis is preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Burks; and a brother-in-law, Leo Teasdale.
