TUSCUMBIA-Longtime Alabama music achiever Travis Wammack is being honored with a special handmade guitar presented by guitar craftsman Jeff Ayers of Burly Guitars.
Travis has a long and accomplished music career that has taken him all around the United States. From working in Sam Phillip’s Sun Studio at the age of 14, to having recorded his first million selling track “Scratchy” at age 16, to touring with Little Richard, Travis has delighted with his unique and innovative guitar sounds.
Jeff Ayers has been creating unique woodworks since 1977. In addition to one of a kind carving designs, Jeff’s guitars feature special semi-hollow body construction that produces a distinctive sound Jeff describes as “like a heartbeat.” This particular guitar is a limited edition Snake Man guitar.
Jeff Ayers will be presenting the guitar he made for Travis on Friday, June 17th @ 11 a.m. at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. The presentation will be open to the public.
