Travis Eugene Powell, age 81 of Tuscumbia, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025. His family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday evening from 5-7pm at Colbert Memorial Chapel. His funeral service will begin on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 1pm at Colbert Memorial Chapel with Gary Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens. He was a member of Washington Av Church of Christ.
Travis was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Bertha Powell; granddaughter, Katherine Sparks; infant sister, Ruby Powell; and special friend, Margaret Seal.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda Dugger (Troy), and Donna Norrod (Greg); brothers, Donald Powell (Bonnie), and James Powell (Bess); sisters, Lucille Powell, and Rachel Reese (Billy); grandchildren, Christopher Sparks, Gregory Sparks, and Stephanie Tiller; step grandchildren, Stephen Norrod (Traven), Priscilla Weems (Tim), Alan Dugger (Ralene), and Whitney Schmidt (Preston); 15 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Robert Newton, Danny Redding, Albert Goodlow, and Dow Rickard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Ezkiel and Jim Hester.
Travis worked for Mack Trucks for 50 years.
