Travis Elton Mitchell – Obituary

Travis Elton Mitchell, 89, of Fairhope, died Feb. 29, 2016, in Fairhope. He was born in Cullman on Dec. 19, 1926, to Logan Morgan Mitchell and Lula Mink Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell served in the United States Navy during World War II. His career as an industrial engineer took him all over the world and he made friends everywhere he went. He was a member of Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church, Spanish Fort. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Maxine Watts Mitchell and his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Lynn Wood and her husband, Joseph Mack Wood; brothers, Jimmy Mitchell and Oliver Mitchell; sister, Billy Sue Anderson; two grandchildren, Timothy Joseph Wood and Melissa Jill Wood; and two great-grandchildren.
