Graveside Services for Travis E. Crawford Sr., age 76 of Sycamore, will be Monday, May 25, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bud Jacks officiating.

Mr. Crawford passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham. He was born in Clay County, and after living here for 20 years, he spent the remainder of his life living in the Alexander City area. Mr. Crawford was a truck driver for North Alabama Express out of Alexander City for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, talking smack with his dear friend Virgil, and going out to eat at many different restaurants, including Mexican and Huddle house. Mr. Crawford liked to watch Westerns and the Andy Griffith Show, and was a member of Sunny Level Baptist Church in Alexander City.

Mr. Crawford is survived by three daughters: Rosie Wheeler (Mark), Felecia Crawford, and Amy Abbott (Leonard); two sisters: Patsy Young (Charles), and Tammy Ogles; two brothers: James Thomas Crawford and Jerry Crawford; and his close friend, Mamie Jacks.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Leonard Clayton Crawford and Nannie Bell Hunter; one son: Travis Eugene Crawford Jr; and three brothers: Sonny, Steven, and Wayne Crawford.

Leonard Crawford, Mark Wheeler, Dan Davenport, Daniel Davenport, Sam Wheeler, and Aiden Royal served as Active Pallbearers.

Virgil Hill and Frank Hill served as honorary pallbearers.

Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of arrangements.
