SHEFFIELD-On Thursday, December 19 Sheffield Police released a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect during a routine traffic stop that netted 153 grams of methamphetamine and a loaded handgun:
“Thanks to the good police work of Officer Cook and Sergeant Risner with K9 Partner Wiske, 153 grams of Methamphetamine and a gun are off the street.
Sonya Simone, 39 years of age, of Sheffield, AL has been charged with the following:
Trafficking Methamphetamine
Illegal Possession of Prescription Drugs
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Other charge(s) pending”
