Traffic Fatality Near Jasper Claims The Life Of Mount Olive Man

traffic_fatality2-300x206JASPER-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported a traffic fatality on Saturday, May 21:

A single-vehicle crash at 10:30 a.m. today, May 21, has claimed the life of a Mount Olive man

Paul Steven Ritchie, 57, was killed when the 1994 Toyota pickup he was driving left the roadway, struck a rock embankment, and overturned. Brown, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle.

He was transported to Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper where he was pronounced dead. The crash occurred on Alabama 5, near the 163 mile marker, three miles east of Jasper.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
