Tracy Allen Purser – Obituary

Tracy Allen Purser, 53, son of Martha Louise Purser and the late Charles Richard Purser, passed from this life on Thursday, November 12 after an extended illness. He was preceded in death by brothers Larry R. Purser, Terry J. Purser, Tommy D. Purser and sister Donna R. Purser Dobbs. He is survived by his very special companion Ronda Vaughn, brothers Greg Purser(Ann) and Jeffrey Purser(Lena), sisters Sheila Stricklin (Jackie), Angela Urban (Keith), Norma Wright (Dennis), Karen Baskins (Howard, Jr.), Janice Dodd (Dennis), Connie Hickerson (Kenneth), Beverly Purser, and very special niece Harleanna McCreless, along with many other special nieces and nephews and a host of friends and relatives.

Tracy was a mechanic by trade and could fix pretty much anything put before him given time. He loved fishing and the water. He spent many hours as a young man playing in the water. As his health began to fail, fishing became his joy he loved everything about it. He loved everybody, especially kids and loved to share his knowledge about many things with them. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 14th from 5:00-8:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home and Sunday November 15, 2015, from 1:00-2:00pm at Mt. Zion Church of Christ . The funeral service will be at 2:00PM with Rodney Rice officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Woods, Jackie Stricklin, Jimmy Vaughn, Dennis Wright, Keith Urban, and Bruce Perry. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Skelton, Jerry Vickery, Jr., and Kenneth Hickerson.

Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
