LEIGHTON-On Saturday, May 2 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident that has taken the life of one person:
“A one-vehicle crash at 2:20 p.m. today, May 2, 2020, has claimed the life of a Town Creek resident.
Howard Dwight Masterson, 54-year-old male, was killed when the 1968 Ford Mustang he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. The crash occurred on County Road 236 in the Hatton Community of Lawrence County, approximately 10 miles south of Leighton.
Masterson was unrestrained and died at the scene of the crash. The Lawrence County Coroner, Scott Norwood, pronounced Alexander deceased.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
