Funeral services for Tony Wayne Hurst, 61 of Corinth are set for 3pm on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at Cross Community Baptist Church located at 34 CR 329 in Corinth with interment in Johns Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 5pm-8pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – East and Sunday, July 19, 2026 from 1pm-3pm at Cross Community Baptist Church. Bro. Tom Gift and Bro. Warren Jones will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Terry Jones, Tom Snyder, Mark Wallace, Toby Crum, B.J. Blackburn and Ethan Blackburn. Honorary pallbearers will be Rachael Warren and the rest of the Aqua Staff and Employees. Tony was born November 11, 1964 in Corinth, MS., and passed from this life on July 15, 2026 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo. Tony worked as a shop foreman at Aqua Yacht Harbor, where he found genuine fulfillment in his work. He had a deep passion for working on boats. Working wasn’t just a job to Tony—it was something he truly loved. He enjoyed staying busy, solving problems, and using his skills every day. His dedication, strong work ethic, and love for his craft were evident to everyone who knew him. Tony was a member of Cross Community Church. He loved his family especially his grandchildren and enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, and going to church. Tony is survived by his wife of 41 years, Michelle Hurst; son, Tony Hurst, Jr (Samantha).; daughters, April Hurst and Kayla Mercer (Joe); grandchildren, Khloe Hurst, Jersey Barker, Tatum Hurst, Aya Jourdan, Jansen Mercer and Charlie Mercer; sister, Jesten Castleberry (Jerry); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Hester Hurst; mother, Maxine Burcham; brothers, Johnny Hurst and Ronnie Hurst and his sister, Wanda Hickman.
