Tony Roy Mask, 62, a beloved father and grandfather, passed away Monday, July 7, 2025, at NMMC-Pontotoc, MS. A member of Cooke Church, he was cherished by the Pontotoc community for his kindness, integrity, and devotion to his family. Tony’s legacy began with his three children, Ashley, Austin, and Sydney, and grew further with his seven grandchildren: Layla Mask, Zaiden Wright, Rachel Mask, Hadley Todd, Layton Puckett, Molly Mask, and Kent Todd. He loved spending quality time with his family and had a passion for hunting, no matter the season or sport. The outdoors was his happy place, and he often enjoyed fishing whenever he could. For seventeen years, he owned and operated Sunnyside Restaurant, a true labor of love. He never met a stranger, as proven by the many loyal customers who traveled from miles away to return time and again.
Tony is survived by his son, Tony Austin Mask, his daughters, Ashley Lee Mask and Sydney Kate Mask, his 7 grandchildren, his brother Charles Leo Mask, 2 nieces, Christy and Bailey, 1 nephew, Drew, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, his significant other, Angie Kitchens, and her 5 children, Chance, Karley, Breanna, Tristan, and Patty, and 2 grandchildren, Liam and Brec.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Sue Austin Mask, his sister, Krista Sue Mask, and his nephew, Derek Tedford.
Services will be held at 2PM Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Wayne Cobb and Bro. David Hamilton officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-8PM and Saturday afternoon from 12PM until service time. Burial will follow in Randolph Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dickie Austin, Drew Mask, Chance Kitchens, Kyle Adams, Adam Zachary, Joseph Hardwick, Larry Wayne Goodson, and Dennis Cox.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Horace Kitchens, Carlos Patterson, Larry Butler, Joseph Austin, Joe Austin, Eric Loggins, Randy Roberts, Ryan Roberts, Austin Kidd, William Kidd, Randy Ray, Chris Ritchie, and the morning group at Austin’s store.
