Tommy Joe Surratt was born April 15, 1954 in McNairy County, TN the son of Rheba Joyce Inman Surratt and the late George Robert Surratt.
He was united in marriage to Melody Whitley on March 31, 2000.
Tommy worked at Aqua Glass for 22 years, the Pallet Factory for 10 years, and Precision Assembly for 5 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and attended Bethel Springs Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Surratt departed this life on May 16, 2018 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 64 Years, 1 Month, 1 Day. He is survived by his wife, Melody Surratt of Adamsville, TN; mother, Rheba Surratt of Purdy, TN; two sons, Brad Surratt and wife Wendy of Adamsville, TN, Chris Surratt and wife Lindsey of Adamsville, TN; six grandchildren, Lilly, Adam, Ethan, Maddie, Tucker, and Tayte; two sisters, Sandra Henson and husband Jerry of Purdy, TN, Anita Killingsworth and husband Steve of Stantonville, TN; two brothers, James Surratt and wife Brenda of Adamsville, TN, Ronnie Surratt of Purdy, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his father, Mr. Surratt was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry, Patrick, and Ricky Surratt.
