Tommy Joe Kiker, age 83 of Adamsville, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at his residence. He was a member of Adamsville Church of God for fifty years, Safety Director at Bessie Mines for Jim Walter Resurces, and Mine Rescue Team Trainer and Director.
Funeral service will be Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Adamsville Church of God. Rev. Mike Kiker and Rev. Roy Stewart will officiate. Burial will follow at Freewill Cemetery. Family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 11:00 am Saturday at the church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lona Kiker; brothers and sisters, Josie Kiker Griffith, Blanche Hicks, Naomi Warren, Howard Kiker, James Kiker, and Luther Kiker.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Kiker; son, Mike (Cathy) Kiker; daughter, Leigh Ann (Lee) Bates; three grandchildren, Lauren (Kent) Walton, Jacob (Chelesea) Kiker; and David Bates; three great grandchildren, Kamden and Kyson Kiker and Handleigh Walton.
