Mr. Tommy Edker Galloway, 82, died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the VA Nursing Home in Oxford, MS. He was born in Pontotoc, MS on August 8, 1934 to Presley Galloway and Gertrude Evans Galloway. He worked in maintenance, employed by the City of Pontotoc for more than 25 years before retiring. He was a long-time member of Cedar Grove Pentecostal Church in Tupelo.
A celebration of life service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Johnny Hamblin officiating. Private burial will follow in Hartwell-Tutor Cemetery south of Pontotoc. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to service time. Survivors include his wife, Judy Kay Galloway of Baldwyn; stepson, Chris Rogers and wife, Cindy of Springdale, Arkansas; daughter, Glenda Campbell (Kevin) of Tupelo; brother, Monroe Galloway of Pontotoc; 2 sisters, Annie Holt (Walter) of Pontotoc and Dorothy Steiner (Bob) of Poulsbo, WA; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, and other near relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Edward Galloway; two sisters, Sarah Brummett and Lavonia Bagwell.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Rogers, Lenn Blaylock, David Fincher, Isacc Rogers, Kyle Shuttles, and Brandon Blaylock. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Galloway, Jr. and Danny Pennington.
