Tom R. Boyd, age 93 of Clarksville, Tennessee, died Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Signature Health Care.
A graveside service will be held at Gower Cemetery on West Stroudsville Road, Cedar Hill at 1:00PM on Thursday, January 28th, with Bro. Jon Justice officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Boyd, Nick Wilson, Terry Davis, Tray Davis, Chad Corlew, and Jeff Welker.
The family will receive friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View on Thursday from 10:30AM until 12:30PM.
Mr. Boyd was born on June 13, 1927 in Montgomery County, Tennessee to the late James Jackson and Laura Basford Boyd. He was a farmer and played baseball for Browns Store in the 1950’s. He dearly loved his cat “Fatboy” and was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Louis Boyd, Harold Boyd, and Gordon Boyd; and sisters, Maydelle Sanders, Gus Knox, and Louise Nicholson.
He is survived by his nephews, Ronnie (Susie) Boyd, and Eddie (Beth) Boyd; nieces, Betty (Phil) Welker, and Patsy (Harold) Corlew; special friends, Pookie & Beverly Davis, and Rick & Diana Vaughn; and loving great-nieces & great-nephews.
