Graveside service for Tom Pink Vest, Sr., age 76, of Nashville (formerly of Decatur), will be today, Tuesday, January 13, 2015, 1:00 p.m. at Decatur City Cemetery, Decatur, AL.
Mr. Vest, who died Sunday, January 11, 2015, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, was born November 29, 1938, in Decatur, to John Henry Vest and Willie Mae Jones Vest. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two grandchildren. Mr. Vest was a member of Masonic Lodge and Al Menah Shrine Temple, Nashville.
He is survived by his wife, Cody Vest of Nashville; five children, Lynn Salazar (Gilbert), Tom P. Vest, Jr. (Denys), Teresa Cook (Bobby), Janet Chesser (Jerry), and Brian Freeman (Angie); 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Alive Hospice, 1710 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203.
