Todd Allen Steele, Sr. age 55 of Belvidere passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at his residence. He was born on November 4, 1964 in Hammond, Indiana and graduated from Morton High School in 1983. He had been employed at Bulk Matic and Thompson Plastic in prior years and was employed in quality control at Tepro since 2013. Todd loved going to yard sales and flea markets and enjoyed spending time with his grandson. In his younger years, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, bowling, and playing softball with his work team. He will be remembered for having a big heart and his love of animals, especially his four-legged best friends, Sable and Dixie. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rachel Marrs Steele; maternal grandparents, Floyd and Idella George Marrs; and paternal grandparents, Vertal and Freya Snodgrass Steele. Survivors include his sons, T. J. Steele of Belvidere and Anthony Steele of Hammond, IN; grandson, Brantley Allen Steele of Winchester; father, Bill Steele of Belvidere; sister, Paula Rae Russell-Steele of Belvidere; longtime companion, Shawn Renee Bentley of Fayetteville; niece and nephew, Paula Mechelle Russell and Zachary Russell, both of Belvidere; great-niece and great-nephews, Carley George, Landan Johnson and Justin Williams, all of Belvidere. Visitation will be 11 am-2 pm Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm in Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. Robert Beal officiating. Interment will be at Flintville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Moore-Cortner Funeral Home to help with expenses.
