Tina Mechelle Geckles, age 53, of Guntersville, Alabama went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 3rd, 2021. There will be a visitation from 12pm until 2pm on Friday, October 8th at Guntersville Memorial. Her service will be held at 2pm in the Chapel withPastor Phillip Cody officiating. After the service, she will be laid to rest in Crestview Cemetery in Guntersville, Alabama.
Mrs. Geckles was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother (Cha Cha). Her love and passion impactedthe lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. The unconditional love she showed her children, grandchildren, and family was like no other. She will be greatly missed.
She was a graduate of Athens State with a Bachelors in Management. She worked for the State of Alabama Department of Industrial Relations for 30 years. She had a special way of giving guidance to those who needed it most, and this skill was repeatedly brought to bear in her profession.
Mrs. Geckles was a member of Destiny Church. She was a faithful and dedicated servant of the Lord, whose love for God grew with each passing day.
Mrs. Geckles is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth Ott and Kay Walker.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Anthony Geckles; her sons Joshua (Heather) Geckles and Jacob Geckles; grandchildren Lynnlea, Ava, and Asher Geckles; sister Tonya (Wes) Leak; brothers Kenneth Ott and Shay Ott; nephew Jared Pendergrass; and many cousins, church family, and friends.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses, doctors, and staff of Huntsville Hospital MICU and all of the family and friends who prayed and fasted for her recovery. Thank you all for fighting with us.
