Tina Marie Nicely of Selmer, TennesseeTina Marie Nicely was born January 29, 1962 in Salisbury, MD the daughter of the late Robert L. Williams and Patricia Shockley Harrell.

Ms. Tina graduated from James M. Bennett High School in Salisbury, MD and attended Wor-Wic Community College with a degree in nursing. She worked in Salisbury, MD, Jackson and Selmer, TN as a nurse.

She was a member of Inspire Church in Jackson, TN where she served as Children’s Pastor, church secretary, Calvary Kidz Preschool Administrator and Sunday school teacher.

She was the owner and operator of a Three Star Rated Tennessee Licensed Group Child Care Home…Button and Bows in Selmer, TN which she started in 1999. She was a member TFCCA, Tennessee Family Child Care Alliance, serving in different capacities such as vice president, Region 2 representative, executive committee member, Region 2 DHS FCC Liaison, record keeping conference trainer, and children/family advocate. Her passion to care for children led her to serving on many boards such as: ABC Food Program Monitor, West TN Association for the Education of Children as a conference presenter, National Association of Family Child Care (NAFCC) as a nationally accredited provider- CDA credential and conference presenter, Tennessee’s Outstanding Providers Supported Through Available Resources (TOPSTAR) as mentor, ASAPer, trainer, and Region 2 ASAPer (Assigned Specialist to Assist Proteges), and TECTA (TN Early Childhood Training Alliance). Tina was a mentor to family and group home childcare professionals across the state of Tennessee and the country. She invested many hours of her life to “taking care of children!” She was always eager to lend a helping hand to her childcare community.
