Timothy Wayne Kennedy, age 17 of Jasper, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Children’s Hospital of Birmingham. Timothy was born on February 24, 2004 to Randy Wayne Kennedy, Jr. and Miranda Swann Kennedy.
He is survived by his parents, Wayne Kennedy, Jr. and Miranda Kennedy (Alex Tempus); grandparents; Timothy Swann (Alicia Kytle), and Randy Wayne Kennedy, Sr.; brothers, Tanner Kennedy, Tyler Thornton, Logan Thornton, and Cole Johnson; sister, Aubrey Tempus; aunts and uncles, David and Amanda Kennedy, Sandy and Delmer Taylor, and Joyce and Joe Dill; his girlfriend, Kaylee Moore as well as a host of cousins, good friends, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pam Swann; great grandparents, Gloria and Harlen Tolbert and Clarence and Alice Swann; a great uncle, Stevie Tolbert; a great aunt, Debra Goodwin; uncle Adam Myers; his nana, June Kennedy; great grandparents, Lamar Lane and Hattie Kennedy; great great grandparents, Frank Kennedy and Melva Lane; uncles, Joseph Kennedy, Daniel “Danny” Lane, and Fred Montgomery; and a cousin, Jordan Montgomery.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 3rd at 1:00 PM at Cordova High School with Jake Hartley officiating. Visitation will be at Cordova High School from 12:00 until 1:00 PM with burial to follow in Kennedy Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tanner Kennedy, Cole Johnson, Tyler Thornton, Alex Tempus, Josh Montgomery, Joe David Styles, and Jamie Goodwin with Nick Estill serving as honorary pallbearer.
