Timothy “Tim” Butler – Obituary

Funeral service for Timothy “Tim” Butler, 73, will be Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Phillip Robinson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in New Hope North Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday, December 10, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mr. Butler died on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Sanctuary Hospice House.  He was born February 4, 1945, in Morgan County to John Buford   and Zippria Reno Butler .  Tim grew up in Falkville, Alabama and lived there his entire life until last year moving to Tupelo to be close to his daughter. Tim was employed with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company where he retired several years ago. Tim was a gifted musician who loved to sing and pick guitar to country music and old gospel hymns.  He made a name for himself when it came to fine tuning and repairing guitars. Tim’s passion and hobby for piddling with guitars acquired him quite a collection over the years. In addition to collecting guitars, Tim also enjoyed collecting vintage coins. Tim was strong in his faith and possessed a generous soul who believed in giving back, and he did so through mail ministry. He was preceded in death by his parents: John Buford Butler and Zippria Butler Tanksley and one sister: Jean Butler.

Terry Butler, Falkville, AL

Nelladean Green (Pat), Falkville, AL  and
Sandra Childers, Eva, AL

Four Grandchildren:
Savannah Rose Scruggs,
Jackson Ashcraft,
Brittany Stephens and
Trenton Stephens

One Great Grand Child:
Kaylee Rogers
