Timothy John Templeton, 64, of Huntsville, passed away on July 25, 2018 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born on Nov. 15, 1953 in Burlington, VT but moved with his family to Hendersonville, NC when he was three years old. He was a graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University and was a teacher at Central Middle School in Madison County for 26 years.
Tim is survived by his wife, Jan Templeton; daughters, Celeste Staggs (Greg), Melissa Templeton, and Jennifer Martin (Stephen); son, Austen Howell (Alena); and seven wonderful grandchildren, all of Huntsville; brothers, Robert A. Templeton (Fran) of Arlington, VA, David Templeton (Frances) of Hendersonville, NC, and Jimmy Templeton (Becky) of Asheville NC; sister, Shirley Stines (Wayne) of Hendersonville, NC; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews that he dearly cherished. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert C. and Ruth Templeton, and sister, Kathleen Curlee (Lewis).
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, July 30 at St. Paul United Methodist Church. The funeral service will immediately follow at the church with the Rev. Matthew Templeton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
