Timothy DeWayne McGuire, lovingly known to the world as Tim, age 69, of Harvest, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his residence, on Friday, May 9th, 2025. Tim was born on October 24th, 1955, in Tampa Florida to Arvid Kenneth McGuire and Doris Wynell Compton McGuire.
Tim is survived by his wife of 24 years, Amy McGuire; children, Luke McGuire, Andrew McGuire and his wife Candace, Evan McGuire, and Julia McGuire; grandchildren Allie McGuire, Oliver McGuire, and Piper McGuire; mother, Doris McGuire; sister, Beth Harrison and her husband Ben; brother, David McGuire and his wife Paula; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Tim was preceded by his father Arvid McGuire
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 16th, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Market Street Church of Christ in Athens Alabama, with David Cox and Mike Presnell officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
Tim was a dedicated Respiratory Therapist for over 30 years at Athens Limestone Hospital and later at Decatur Morgan General Hospital. Tim’s hobbies were cooking and all genres of music, especially Tom Petty!
