Timothy Charles Surratt Profile PhotoTimothy Charles Surratt of Stantonville, TN, passed this life on Monday, July 27, 2026 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, TN. Tim Surratt was 63 years of age.

Mr. Surratt was born in Savannah, TN on May 2, 1963, grew up in Stantonville (McNairy County), TN, and has been an active member of the West Shiloh Baptist Church for his entire life. His parents are Charles and Linda Surratt of Stantonville.

Tim graduated from Adamsville Jr./Sr. High School in 1981 and went on to attend The University of Tennessee at Martin where he was a member of the Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR) Fraternity. Tim earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from UT Martin in 1985. After graduating from UT Martin, Tim returned to Adamsville to work at Farmer’s and Merchant’s Bank, and later at Hardin County Bank, then at Tennessee Farmers Co-op where he retired in 2025.

Tim was well known for his love of outdoors, whether farming, hunting, fishing, and/or just enjoying being outdoors with his friends and family. To say that Tim was an avid hunter, fisherman or outdoorsman would be an understatement, but that is only part of the man. He set an unmatched example of what it truly means to be a husband, father, brother, friend and neighbor. He was always there when you needed him, always seemed to know what to do. All who know him are truly blessed. Tim was a Godly man devout to his Christian faith, actions, and service to his community.

Tim is preceded in death by his before- and after-life partner and wife Wendy Marcum Surratt. Tim and Wendy were married August 11, 1990, and resided in Stantonville until Wendy’s passing on August 8, 2017. A devoted married couple, Tim and Wendy brought joy and comfort to many in times of happiness and in times of need. There were no better friends to others than Tim and Wendy Surratt.

Tim is survived by his loving mother, Linda Surratt Wilkerson, 28-year-old daughter Victoria Elisabeth “Tori Beth” Surratt, PhD Candidate, UT Health Science Center, Memphis, TN; two sisters: Kristie Smalley (Jon), of Glen Ellyn, IL; and Mellanie Surratt, of Stantonville, TN; and six nieces and nephews: Sarah (24), Hannah (22), and Matthew (21) Smalley, of Glen Ellyn, IL, and Winnie (5), Millie (4), and Charlie (2) Marcum, of Chattanooga, TN.

For those who wish, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the West Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, or to the McNairy Central High School, Lady Bobcat Softball Program, Attn: Coach Mell Surratt, 493 High School Rd., Selmer, TN 38375.
