Funeral service for Thurman M. “Mac” McManus, 88, of Interlachen, Florida will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 4th, 2015 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Crosses Chapel Cemetery, Bro. Roger McManus officiating.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the local arrangements.
Mac was born in Cullman, Alabama to parents, Chester and Bessie McManus. He passed away Thursday, July 30th, 2015. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and served in World War II. He was an avid wood worker and gardener.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his children, Cynthia and Dwight McManus and Rebecca Merry.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Dura ‘Faye’ McManus of Interlachen, FL; son, Ronald McManus of Bronson, FL; sister, Pat Umphrey; grandchildren, Shannon Wiles, Michael Merry, Cindy Merry-Day, Heather Whitcomb, and Andi McManus; great grandchildren, Lauren and Morgan Wiles and Ryan Day.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 12-2 at Cullman Funeral Home.
