MORGAN COUNTY-Three men have been charged with rape of minor children and are currently being held in the Morgan County Jail:
“Sheriff Ana Franklin reports that the Morgan County Sheriff’s Deputies and Morgan County Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit Investigators arrested 35 year old Harlan LaShane NeSmith. The Morgan County Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit received a complaint that Harlan LaShane NeSmith sexually abused two minor children and enticed a minor child into his vehicle for immoral purposes. After a thorough investigation and multiple interviews, Investigators presented the cases to the Morgan County Grand Jury. The indictments were issued and NeSmith was located and arrested on Saturday, June 25.
Harlan LeShane was charged on a grand jury indictment of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree (Class C Felony), Sexual Abuse of a Child Less than 12 Years Old (Class B Felony) and Enticing a Minor into a Vehicle for Immoral Purposes (Class C Felony). Bond: $200,000.00, Status: Currently in the Morgan County Jail.
Morgan County Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit Investigators also received a complaint that Danny Lee Moore, 53, had sexually abused a child less than 12 years old. MCSO SVU Investigators also completed a thorough investigation on this case and presented it to the Morgan County Grand Jury.
Danny Lee Moore
The Grand Jury indicted Moore on the charge and he was arrested on Friday, June 24, the same day as the indictment. Charge is Sexual Abuse of a Child Less Than 12 Years Old, 2 counts, (Class B Felony). Bond was set at $200,000.
Timothy Browning
Timothy Browning, 35, was arrested on Saturday, June 25th after a Morgan County Grand Jury indictment for Rape 2nd and Sodomy 2nd. His bond was set for $50,000.00.
