FLORENCE-Three have been arrested in a robbery and kidnapping that took place overnight in Florence. Here is 
how the Florence Police Department describe the event:
“Three Arrested, Charged in Overnight Robbery/Kidnapping; Marcus Rice (no picture available), 18, of Florence along with Carlos Dominique Alan, 25, of Florence and Darius Marquise Freeman, 22, of Muscle Shoals were arrested earlier this morning after police received information of a man being held against his will. Florence Police found, at the time of the call that the suspects had taken a local man hostage following an altercation in the Carver Homes area of Florence and were driving him to Nashville, TN at gun point. Police officers were waiting when the trio arrived back in Florence with the victim still being held in the vehicle. The victim suffered minor injuries from the previous altercation, but was unharmed during the kidnapping. Police also recovered several firearms and other evidence following the arrests. The three suspects were taken into custody without incident and charged with Robbery 1st and Kidnapping 1st. All three are currently being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center on $100,000 bond.
