Thomas Wilson Moody, 86, of Florence, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 at his residence. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church, a Department Superintendent at Union Carbide, and a US Marine veteran.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from 10 – 12 noon at Highland Baptist Church with the funeral service beginning at 12 noon. Officiating will be the Rev. Chris Underwood. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Military funeral honors will be accorded at graveside.
Mr. Moody was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Jeremiah Moody and Floy Lee Skipworth Moody; great grandson, Noah David; sisters, Mary Elizabeth “Mollie”, Mattie Ida, and Arlene Lee; brother, John “J.D.” Moody.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Carol Richards Moody; sons, Gary Wayne, John David, Jeffrey Lynn; brother, Charles Ernest Moody; grandchildren, Kelley Leanne, Paige Marie, Ashby Michelle, Joshua David, Andrew Thomas, Adam Daniel, Anna Leigh; great grandchildren, Garrett Scott, Audrey Lynn, Easton Michael, Ella Grace, Rylan Alexander, Natalie Elizabeth, and Ryleigh Beth.
Pallbearers will be Adam Schlagenhauf, Josh Moody, Andrew Moody, Scottie Smith, Dusty Cobb, Adam Moody, and Allen Williams.
