Mr. Thomas Wesley Rice, 77 of Lacey’s Spring died Monday January 15, 2018 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Mr. Rice was born January 11, 1941 in Toccoa Georgia to Thomas Wade Rice and Iowa Mulkey Rice. He was married to the former Wanda Faye Davis for 33 years. He was retired from his concrete business.He enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening, flowers and wood working.
He was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Rice is survived by his wife: Wanda Rice; his children and in-laws: Thomas Lynn Rice and Gail, Jerry Thomas Brown Jr. and Kathy, Joseph Tharron Brown and Dawn, Lisa Horner and Bill, Melody Peden and Eddie, Stacie Sparks and Mike and Heather Spivey and sixteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; and his sister: Joyce McEntire. He was preceded in death by his daughter:Lori Ann Rice; his parents: Thomas Wade and Iowa Rice; his brother: Ronnie Rice and his sisters: Lennie Wilson and Carolyn Rice.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 20, 2018 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel with Brother: Johnny Maxwell, officiating. Burial will be in Rice Family Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel and Brindlee Mountain Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Robert Peden II, Anthony Sparks, Warren Sparks, Cole Brown, Dyllan Spivey and Keary Rice. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tharron Brown and Jamie Atkinson.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. Friday January 19, 2018 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel.
