Thomas Wert Talley Jr., age 84, passed away peacefully August 20, 2023 in Aledo Illinois.
He was a born in Marshall County, TN and grew up attending elementary school in Petersburg,
TN. He worked as a carpenter, built homes in the Peoria IL area, and retired from Caterpillar.
He is survived by 4 sons, Thomas David Talley of Hudson, IL, Erik Allen Talley of Saudi Arabia,
Jason Hamilton Talley of East Peoria, IL, and Jeremiah Lee Talley of Lexington, Ky, and two
sisters, Nancy Sue Ropp of Tremont, IL and Jessie Lynn Wiser of Youngtown, AZ, and five
grandchildren, Benjamin Talley, Montana Talley of Hudson, IL and Isabella Talley, Mayson
Talley, and Brenna Talley of Columbus, OH. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas
Wert and Nancy Woods Talley and a sister, Mary Jo Dixon.
Graveside service will be on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Talley Cemetery in
Petersburg, TN.
