Thomas Watson Winstead, 88, passed away Sunday, August 15th, in his home. He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara; his brother BR Winstead; his children, Linda Jones (Ron), Tom Winstead, and Sandy Kimbrel; grandchildren David Jones, Brian Jones, Steven Jones, Christy Chittam, Jimmy Davis, Tammy Woodward, Craig Kimbrel, Matt Kimbrel, and Alan Kimbrel; as well as 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Thomas Watson Winstead, 88, passed away Sunday, August 15th, in his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, BR and Vivian Winstead; and his sister Bethel Yessick.
An aeronautical engineer who helped put a man on the moon and a dedicated jazz musician, Tom lived a full life, embracing the things he loved most; his job, his trombone, and his family.
Visitation will be held at Berryhill Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 18th, from 3:00 – 4:00 PM with the memorial service to follow at 4. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
