Thomas Warren Vyers, age 74 of Meridianville passed away on Wed., Feb. 22, 2017.
He is survived by his wife, Ruthie Vyers; children, Amanda Bealer (Michael), Kristine DeBarge, Bobby Pack (Tara), Eddie Pack (Sheila); brothers, Scotty Vyers (Rosa), Troy Vyers (Shelley); sister, Tommie Ruth Caldwell (Ronnie); fourteen grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren.
Mr. Vyers was preceded in death by his sister; Woodie Lee Gerberaux; parents, Thomas Vyers and Mary Lee Hill; stepmother, Ruth Vyers. Mr Vyers retired from the U.S. Army after 28 years of service as a SGM. He was also employed with COLSA of Huntsville as a firearm instructor.
He taught at TCU and UNA as an ROTC Instructor. He was SGM (Army) in Special Forces and served three tours in Vietnam.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. The funeral service is Sat., Feb. 25, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jimmy Brantley officiating. Burial will follow at Charity Cemetery in Hazel Green.
