Mr. Thomas "Tommy" W. Griffin Thomas “Tommy” W. Griffin, age 74 of Union Grove, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at his residence.
Thomas was born on April 5, 1946 to the late Ezra and Clara Griffin in Palm Beach, FL. Mr. Griffin was a successful entrepreneur. He owned and operated several businesses in the Morgan City and Arab area during his lifetime, plus owned a cattle farm. In the past few years his beloved business was Tommy’s Lazy G where he created a wedding venue in his own design and style. He loved meeting and being with people. Everyone knew him as a very charismatic and memorable man!
He loved his family, their dog-Nick, his friends, his community, and working his businesses. He will be remembered as fun-loving, someone who could do anything he set his mind to do and an extremely hard working man.
Mr. Griffin will be forever remembered by his wife, Melinda Sutton-Griffin; sons, Billy Griffin (wife Cyndi), Charlie Griffin (wife Tracey); grandchildren, Taylor Quinlan (Dustin), Connor Griffin, Courteney Sanders (Alan-Michael), Blake Griffin, Carson Griffin and Claire Griffin; step-children, Anthony Bowling and Mandy Bowling.
A Celebration of Life at the Lazy G Wedding Chapel & Cabins on April 18th from 2 pm to 6 pm. All are welcome to attend the come-and-go event.
In lieu of flowers, family request plants or shrubbery that could be planted in memorial at the Lazy G.
Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel assisted Mr. Griffin’s family.
