Thomas “Tommy” Farmer, age 84 of Arley, passed away Monday, May 11, 2026 at his residence. He was born February 20, 1942 to Hoyt and Edith Farmer. Tommy had the biggest personality and could light up a room with one of his “jokes”. He never met a stranger, and it didn’t matter who you were you weren’t safe from getting picked on. Tommy enjoyed working on the farm, and even his hoverround couldn’t stop him. He loved his dogs, Rambo and Lily, but most of all he loved his family. Tommy was a member of Meek Baptist Church for over 15 years. A private memorial service will be held by the family. Tommy is survived by his wife, Shirley Fine Farmer; sons, Byron (Samantha) Farmer and David Farmer; daughter- in- law, LeaAnn Farmer; grandchildren, Andrew (Morgan) Farmer, Aaron (Sabrina) Farmer, Mikella Dunnell and Amy Farmer; expecting great grandson, August “Auggie” Farmer; siblings, Dale (Wanda) Farmer and sister, Sharon Cleghorn; and a host of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt and Edith Farmer, first wife, Mary Ann Farmer; sister, Sandy Farmer; granddaughter, Amber Nicole Farmer.
