Thomas T. Athnos, 78, of Owens Cross Roads, passed away Monday. Mr. Athnos retired from the US Navy as a highly decorated Master Chief Petty Officer after 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Athnos; children, Trifon Lee Athnos, Thomas Lee Athnos (Carol), Regina Lynn Edelmann (Ted), and Christopher Sean Athnos (Dana Rose); seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 1:15 p.m. Monday, November 21 at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, AL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
