Thomas R. Martin, 79 of Athens, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Martin was born July 2, 1941 to George Edward Martin and Dorothy Mildred Becker Martin.
Mr. Martin loved people, his church and he loved his God. He enjoyed sitting on his porch and talking with his neighbors. He also loved and enjoyed classical music, reading and cars.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Rebecca A. Martin; children, Julie Martin Lewis (Micheal) and Brian Thomas Martin (Annisa); 7 grandchildren; stepson, Glen Jones; granddaughter, Maggie Jones; brother, Ronald Martin (Lynn); sister-in-law, Gwen Martin; nephews, cousins and a host of friends and neighbors.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Curtis Martin.
