Thomas Phillip Sapp, 85, died at his home on Tuesday, June 22.
Phillip was was born in Plant City, FL on February 5, 1936. He graduated from Vero Beach FL High School in 1954; and in 1958 Phillip graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as an aeronautical engineer. He retired from Boeing after 39 years of service, where he worked on aerospace projects, including the Skylab, Saturn, Space Lab and the Space Station.
Phillip is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Bernita Sapp; son, Paul Sapp (LeeAnn); daughter, Pamela Collins (John); daughter-in-law, Ellen Sapp; great niece, Gina Satterfield (David); and his grandchildren, Delenn, Sophie, Emma, Danny, and Olivia Sapp; Kiera, Adam, and Susannah Sapp; and Jessica Collins. He is preceded in death by his son, Peter Sapp; father, T.H. Sapp; and his mother, Marion Theis Sapp.
A celebration of life will be planned at a future time.
