Thomas Michael “Mike” Reeves, 77, of Sheffield, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 1, from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow, in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Ronny Poag officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Mike was a veteran of the US Navy and a member of Lee Heights Baptist Church. He spent 17 years working with TVA as a surveyor and diver. He worked for over 30 years in the construction business as an estimator with H & N Construction and Johnson Contractors. Affectionately known as “Pappy” by his family and friends, Mike always enjoyed Bama football, watching Nascar, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Donna Reeves, and by his parents, Bill and Peggy Reeves.
Mike is survived by his children, Mike Reeves (Kristy) and Leesa Poag (Ronny); brother, Bill Reeves (Carol); sister, Rita Newton; grandchildren, Trace Reeves, Brooke Echavarria, Christian Poag, Aubree Faith Poag, Tyler Poag, and Makenzie Poag; a host of nieces and nephews, and his beloved pet, Lucy.
Pallbearers will be Christian Poag, Brett Basden, Barry Basden, Ray Basden, and Bill Reeves.
