Thomas Louis Price, age 86, of Spruce Pine, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at his residence.
Thomas was a member of Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church. He worked for 29 years as director of Maintenance of Russellville Hospital. He loved to hunt and fish, especially fishing with his grandson Paxton and brother-in-law, Bud. He loved his wife and kids, but especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Daryl Louis Rice; parents, Fred & Leathie (Price) Rice; brothers, Raymond Rice, Edward Oneal Rice, Buddy Rice; and sister, Willodean Rice Nix
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mary Farris Rice; daughter, Melissa Rice; grandchildren, Paxton Rice (Toshia), Kaysi Gann (Dan), Liz Hyde (Jon); great-grandchildren, Payton Bo Rice, Emily Ann Gann, Troy Hyde, Henry Scott Hyde; soon to arrive, Baby Asher Rice; siblings, JP Rice (Ann), Louise Cook; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Roger Bond officiating the service. The burial will be at Liberty Hill Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Paxton Rice, Jon Hyde, Corey Odom, Tommy Farris, James Jackson, Doug Cook, and Earl Cook.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the nurses of North Alabama Hospice and our one special aide, Kathy, for the love and care shown to our family.
