Graveside services for Mr. Thomas Junior Hunter, age 84 of Ashland will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Ashland City Cemetery with Bro. David Holcombe officiating.
Mr. Hunter passed away Thursday September 22, 2022 at his residence. Thomas was born in Clay and lived in California for several years before returning to Clay County in 1969. He had worked in construction for many years and also with the water and sewer department for the City of Ashland.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Stewart Hunter of Ashland, two sons, Robert James Hunter(Tonya) of Forsyth, Missouri and Billy Joe Hunter of Hollister, Missouri, and a sister, Louise Stephens of Lagrange, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by four sisters, Nanny Bell, Ethel, Louise and Gladys; four brothers, Dlyn, Bruner, Thedford and Jimmy; great-granddaughter, Lucy Hunter and great daughter-in-law, Abby Hunter.
Pallbearers will be, Justin Wayne Bush, Brandon Hunter, Eli Johnson and Brittany Hunter.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home of Ashland on Monday September 26, 2022 from 1:00 until 1:30.
Benefield Funeral Home of Ashland will be in charge of the arrangements.
