Mr. Thomas Jeffrey Westmoreland, age 62, a resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at his residence.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8PM and again on Tuesday from 1-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on April 4, 1956 in Mineral Wells, Texas, Thomas was the son of the late Sam Thomas Westmoreland and the late Ina Ruth Manning Westmoreland. A strong and hardworking man who loved his job, Thomas worked twenty years alongside his brother as a carpet installer for C&C Carpet. He was a bull rider who enjoyed going to rodeos and watching old westerns. He loved attending cook outs and spending time with his grandchildren. A man of few words, Thomas was a loving father, grandfather, and brother who will deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his children: Heather (Michael) Potts of Culleoka, Sarah (Logan) Hankins of Columbia, Kevin Sneed, Wendy Davis of Columbia; brothers: Tony Westmoreland of Columbia, Mark (Ann) Westmoreland of Zion Acres; grandchildren: Aden Scott, Easton Potts, Reagan Westmoreland, Marly Hankins; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Pallbearers will be: Michael Potts, Logan Hankins, Stephen Westmoreland, Jeremy Westmoreland, Mark Westmoreland, and Kolbie Westmoreland.
