Mr. Thomas Hunter Eastis, age 70, of Quinton, AL passed away Tuesday morning, January 4, 2022. He was born on November 5, 1951 in Birmingham, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vida Marie Cantrell Eastis and William Felix Eastis, Jr.

Tom was married to the love of his life, Debra Hunt Eastis (Deby). He is survived by his wife, Deby; son, Hunter Allen Eastis (Melonie) of Atlanta, GA; daughter Callie Cantrell Cain (Taylor) of Kansas City, MO; granddaughter, Audry Reece Cain of Kansas City, MO; brothers, Joseph Felix Eastis (Martha) of Hoover, AL, David William Eastis (Mary Kay) of Roswell, GA and Jackson Hayes Eastis (Libby) of Quinton, AL; sister, Denise Eastis Hilleke (Bill) of Quinton, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him and will miss him very much.

Tom graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1970. Due to his work ethic, expertise and experience he was sought out by many companies. He worked mainly with the installation of gas pumps in the fuel industry. Tom started at the Pump Shop, and later worked for Metro Service and Equipment and Hagar Oil. He eventually opened his own successful business, Tank Testers. There wasn’t anything mechanical that couldn’t fix. He was always there to help his friends and family members whenever there was a need.

Deby was a loving and wife to Tom, and during the last few years of his declining health, truly embodied the spirit of “in sickness and in health”. The family is comforted to know that because of Tom’s faith, he is no longer in pain and that we will see him again.
