Thomas Harold Hood Jr., 76, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Mississippi to Thomas Harold Hood Sr. and Ursula Underwood Hood, who preceded him in death. He was an employee of Tennessee Gas Pipeline for 28 years. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Baptist.
There will be a private graveside service with Brother Robbie Crane officiating. Burial will be in Tishomingo City Cemetery, Tishomingo, Mississippi. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Mississippi, will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are his wife, Monna Sue Hood, Florence, Alabama; one daughter, Tara Roberson (Paul), Florence, Alabama; two grandchildren, Ross and Owen Roberson; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Paul Roberson, Ross Roberson, Owen Roberson, Dennie Richardson, Lance Hollingsworth, and Greg Underwood.
Friends may visit with the family Saturday, Jan. 16, noon until at Tishomingo Baptist Church.
