Thomas Gene Head, 67, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022 at his home in Hamilton. Thomas was born on July 27, 1954 in Memphis, TN to Herbert and Allene Pounders Head. He was married to Janice Hawkins Head for over 40 years and had one daughter, Kay Head. Thomas and Janice were high school sweethearts and graduated from Southside High School in 1972. Thomas spent his career as an over-the-road truck driver for over 30 years. Thomas loved to play Texas Hold ‘Em and riding Harley Davidsons. Thomas had a great sense of humor and enjoyed joking. He loved to play billiards and the video game, 1942. Thomas loved his dog Harley who followed him everywhere. As a trucker, he was an owner/operator and only loved Freightliners.
Funerals services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home with Elder Joe Nettles officiating. Burial will follow in McDuffa Cemetery.
He is survived by one daughter, Tiffany Kay Head (Kia) of Chesapeake Beach, MD; one sister, Anita Holley (Orein) of Hamilton; and nieces, Melanie Lee, Sarah Beth Pridmore, and Lindsey Tennyson.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one sisters, Virginia K. Head, Marilyn Diann Lee; grandparents, Daniel and Della Pounders and William and Ouida Head.
Visitation will be from noon until service time on Saturday, June 25 at the funeral home.
