Thomas Gene Burcham, age 83, of Russellville, passed away on Sunday, December 08, 2024, at his residence.
Thomas served as a deacon at Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church for 34 years. He was a member of the Russellville Masonic Lodge for fifty plus years. He had worked several jobs and retired from Champion Paper Mills. He was a wonderful husband, a devoted father, and a loving grandfather to all. He loved visiting the Amish and working outside.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Clara Faye Burcham; grand-daughter, Kayla Burcham; daughter-in-law, Lynn Burcham; parents, R.W. & Mossie Burcham; and siblings, Gladys Thomas, Dan Burcham, Jimmy Burcham, Bobby Burcham, Jack Burcham, Bill Burcham, and Mac Burcham.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his sons, Robbie Burcham (Louise), David Burcham (Angie), William Burcham (Janet), John Burcham; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Roy Burcham; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Johnny Hood, Bro. Keith Prince, and Bro John Will Burcham, who is officiating the service. The burial will be at Gravel Hill Cemetery in the Mt. Star Community with Masonic Rites.
The pallbearers will be Robbie Burcham, David Burcham, William Burcham, John Burcham, Nathaniel Burcham, and Josh Burcham. The grandchildren will be honorary pallbearers.
