Sunday, March 23rd, at 2:00 p.m., a memorial service will be held at Faith Worship Center, 505 W. Main St. Glencoe, AL, to honor the life of Mrs. Joan Gargus Hamrick, January 15, 1961 – March 9, 2025.
She is preceded in death by her parents: father: Jerry Gargus, mother: Alice Lewis, and her parents-in-law: James and Mary Hamrick.
She is survived by her husband, of 29 years, Mark Hamrick, children: Kimberly Pitts (Clay), and Mark Anderson, step children: Jill Luther (Forrest), and Cortney Alred (Jon), six grandchildren, her sisters: Janice Hunter (Steve), Jenny Maxwell (Mike), June Shaw (Jay), and step-father John Lewis, and her nieces and nephews.
Joan was a life-long resident of Etowah county. She grew up in the Alabama City community, and attended Emma Sansom High School. Most recently she resided in Glencoe.
